At SF City Vitals, we recognize that many veterans may be reluctant to seek assistance because of their military training to persevere and push through challenges. As a nonprofit organization founded by Post 9/11 U.S. Military Veterans, we are dedicated to supporting our fellow veterans who may be struggling but may not know how to ask for help.
We provide crucial institutional knowledge of the Veteran's Affairs and local veteran services in the immediate Bay Area to ensure that veterans can access the resources they need. Our team of experienced founders has helped veterans from all backgrounds, and our Co-Founder, Grant Hower, is a respected community leader among San Francisco's veteran population. He is also a vital stakeholder for numerous veteran organizations and federal programs, providing us with invaluable insights and connections that enable us to deliver meaningful assistance to those who need it most. Join us in our mission to serve our veterans.
Core goals our Veteran Services provide:
VA navigation - to help women veterans navigate the complex system of veteran’s benefits, including health, education, service connection, etc.
Women’s health justice - to support women veterans with navigating their veteran’s health and advocating for services within the VA and outside.
PTSD and MST advocacy - to provide an environment where women veterans can be seen and validate their experiences with PTSD and MST.
Community - to build a community where women veterans can connect and know they’re not alone in an environment that is hyper-masculine.
