Rise for Success: Volunteer & Train Towards Opportunity

At SF City Vitals, we offer an incredible opportunity for those interested in pursuing a career as a Doula or Community Health Worker. By volunteering with us, you can gain valuable experience that can be used towards obtaining a certificate of completion and ultimately lead to employment as a Doula or Community Health Worker.

We enjoy training SF City Vitals volunteers, helping them grow into skilled and confident healthcare professionals. Join us and become a part of our mission to build a strong and supportive community health workforce.

Full-Spectrum Doula Pathway

The Full-Spectrum Doula Pathway is a vital resource for pregnant women facing social disparities that can have a negative impact on their health and the health of their babies. This pathway provides a range of Doula services designed to address specific challenges, such as pre-term births or maternal mental health conditions. By partnering with this program, expectant mothers can receive compassionate care and support that helps them navigate the complexities of pregnancy and childbirth.

Additionally, as Full-Spectrum Doulas, we provide services as Abortion Doulas, and support individuals who experience pregnancy loss or post-partum doula support.

Community Health Worker Pathway

The Community Health Worker Pathway is a comprehensive support system for individuals facing complex challenges such as homelessness, the fentanyl crisis, veteran status, vulnerability among women, and at-risk youth. This program offers a wide range of services that includes housing navigation, harm reduction, health and insurance navigation, as well as targeted outreach. In this program, individuals can receive compassionate support and care from trained professionals who specialize in navigating the complexities of these issues. With a focus on addressing the root causes of these challenges and promoting long-term solutions, the Community Health Worker Program plays a critical role in building healthier and more resilient communities.

Nonprofit/Volunteer Pathway

The Nonprofit Volunteer Program was established with the aim of providing a collaborative space that empowers community members, organizations, and allies to drive change in San Francisco. Through our collective efforts, we seek to create opportunities that enable our neighbors to flourish and grow. By leveraging the power of community collaboration, we believe we can make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most. U.S. Veterans Community Health Worker Pathway

At SF City Vitals, we recognize the unique challenges that veterans face when returning to civilian life. That's why we created the Veterans Volunteer or Community Health Worker Pathway - a resource hub where veterans can find the support they need to navigate complex issues such as homelessness, medical conditions, PTSD, or substance use disorders.
